Have you ever wondered what Yoga is all about but not felt confident or flexible enough to commence general classes? Or have you had a break from yoga and would like to refresh your practice from the roots up? Then this workshop is for you! During the day we will take a deeper dive into some of the components of yoga including an overview of the paths and 8 Limbs of yoga, key principles of the physical practice, two yoga practices suitable for beginners and refreshers and basic alignment of some of the key postures, a closer look at the most common sun salutations and how to modify your practice to suit your individual requirements. The focus of the day will be to enhance your understanding of the broader context of Hatha yoga and build your knowledge and confidence in your practice.

Bev Alderson

Bev Alderson is a general and workplace Yoga, Mindfulness and Stress Effectiveness Teacher with a strong corporate background, having spent 18+ years performing high pressured management roles in both the UK and Australia.

Understanding first-hand the impacts of a high-pressured lifestyle, Bev brings a fairlyunique and authentic perspective to her work. She has a practical delivery style and draws upon her personal experiences and the principles of stress effectiveness, mindfulness and yoga to support anyone wishing to create more balance in a busy world.

Bev provides presentations, workshops and comprehensive programmes through open events, conferences and workplace wellness programmes in line with each client’s preferences and goals.

Bev completed a Diploma in Yoga with the highly respected Qi Yoga School in Sydney in 2012 and with Sivananda in India in 2015. She also completed a Certificate in Stress Management with the London Centre for Coaching and Counselling in 2014, an ILM with the Stress Management Society in 2014 and a Diploma in Meditation with the British School of Meditation in 2016.
