|Course:||In Search of the Holy Grail - Creative Writing|
|Start Date:||24th July 2019|
|Fee:||£55.00 What's included?|
The theme of this creative writing day is that of quest for what is most desired and precious for each one of us, using the image of the Holy Grail of the Arthurian legend when King Arthur sent his knights of the Round Table out to search for the cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper. Our group will read and discuss poems, myths and legends which describe their searches and longing to find the end of their quest. The popularity of pilgrimages from the middle ages until today to the holy places of the world is a symptom of the journeys we are prepared to take to find our treasure. Everyone will be encouraged to write in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. As Natalie Goldberg, a famous literary critic says ”Writing is about saying a holy yes to the real things of our life”. So do come and try!

As a film-maker, I travel the world but few places offer such repose, intellectual stimulation and comfort. I can't wait to come back. My hat is most certainly off to all the hard-working team at Dillington. Their commitment to high quality service and programme innovation is truly remarkable. I thoroughly recommend it!
