Love wool! Then you'll love needle felting! Fibre artist, Carla Taylor, of The Mousehole Woolery will guide you step by step through the techniques of needle felting, including the more advanced technique of learning how to work around wire to create your own unique woodland squirrel out of beautiful wool ready for you to take home or, if you can part with it, to give someone as a special gift! A fun, creative and inspiring day!

Carla Taylor

Carla Taylor creates contemporary sustainble 3d wool sculptures inspired by the animals and landscape of the British countryside and coastline using the technique of needle felting.  Needle felting involves using barbed needles of various sizes to repeatedly stab and sculpt wool fibres together, building layers of wool, transforming the fleece in to a felted work of art!  Carla likes to work closely with local Dorset farmers promoting the use of local and British wool and will often refer to conservation issues within her sculptures.
