These two techniques of embroidery and applique combined produce highly decorative results. Using patterened cotton fabric and felt, applying it to a background and then embellishing with hand stitching and beads etc, using interesting embroidery stitches. Could be made up into practical projects or framed as a picture. Suitable for all abilities.
Annette Bolton studied City and Guilds in a variety of subjects covering beading, hand and machine embroidery, Stumpwork, mixed media and design. She has been teaching for over 20 years and has a great passion for her subject, a regular contributor to stitching and beading magazines, as well as being a registered tutor for the learning curve at Alexandra Palace and the Great British Bead Show.
