This course will focus on painting animals, including a tiger and a dog. During the course you will learn how to draw fine lines, build up colour, layer by layer, and create lifelike animal coats. Once you have gained the skills of the meticulous style of painting you will develop towards painting the subject of your choice. You will also be introduced to the cultural background behind Chinese painting.

In its commitment to the arts and to broader and even peripheral aspects of culture, Dillington House is a beacon of enlightenment in a world of increasing sameness, mediocrity and uncritical acceptance. And there is much to be said for the home cooking too. I unhesitatingly commend it to all who are still intellectually alert. Brian Sewell
