With the tragic events involving the recent Grenfell Towers, we at Somerset County Council and Dillington House would like to reassure all of our customers that we strive to make Dillington as safe as practicable within any current legislation. The site is monitored by a 24hr Fire and Security system and both statutory and servicing checks are carried out and monitored across the site on a regular basis.
Most of the buildings within the site are mostly built in local Ham Stone and the masonry within The Hyde Building has been constructed and complies with current building regulations. All buildings have no materials identified in recent events.
All staff have robust procedures in place that are regularly tested and monitored to ensure the safety of everyone at Dillington is paramount. We also provide staff coverage overnight for our residential guests in case of any Emergency.
Dillington House is also a registered venue where Operational Risk Information (ORIS) is held by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service with 2 yearly inspections on Risks and Hazards.
