On this weekend course you will learn how to create pleasing and striking compositions and photographic images. After a quick introduction to Brian’s work, we will look at the depth of field and the effects and moods it can produce; the six key elements of a successful image; practical tips and compositional techniques such as balance and the rule of thirds, cropping, use of silhouette effects and visual juxtaposition and much more. The theory and techniques will be illustrated by examples of wildlife and travel images. You will also have a chance during two or three outdoor sessions to take some shots in Dillington’s grounds, practising the techniques and tips covered.
Suitable for beginners and keen amateurs, but to get the maximum benefit from this course you must be familiar with the basic controls of your camera.
