Harry Clarke is the most famous stained glass artist to emerge from out of Ireland in the early years of the twentieth century. His stained glass work was not just religious commissions but also included many secular commissions. Alongside the stained glass work, Clarke also gained an international reputation as a book illustrator. What is certain, is that Harry Clarke should be far more recognized for his contributions to the development of Irish and International Art in the early years of the twentieth century.

Mike Hope

Mike Hope

Author, lecturer, curator and designer spent over twenty-five years lecturing and holding senior management posts in four universities (Staffordshire, Portsmouth, Nottingham Trent and Plymouth) and has spent nearly thirty years delivering Summer School Programmes. He has lectured around the world and was a founder board member of The European Academy of Design. Alongside an extensive publication list, he has researched, designed and curated many exhibitions. He is a lecturer for Travel Editions Art & History Abroad programme.
