A full weekend course devoted to this wonderful artist, his work, life and times. We shall, of course, spend much of the weekend exploring the varied and prolific output of this incomparable landscape and portrait painter; we shall see his native Valencia emerge as a centre of cultural excellence; we study his fruitful relationship with the Hispanic Society of America and his great friend John Singer Sargent; we acquaint ourselves with the painters and culture of the first three decades of the twentieth century in Spain.
Chris Pollard will be leading a Study Tour to Madrid in March, where participants will be able to see many of the great works of Sorolla 'in the flesh' - click here for details.

As a film-maker, I travel the world but few places offer such repose, intellectual stimulation and comfort. I can't wait to come back. My hat is most certainly off to all the hard-working team at Dillington. Their commitment to high quality service and programme innovation is truly remarkable. I thoroughly recommend it!
