This course will enable you to create your own stained glass panel using the traditional method of combining coloured glass with lead. Stained Glass is an ancient art of using colour and light to create atmosphere and to depict images and stories. Traditionally, stained glass windows tend to be associated with cathedrals, churches and country houses, but these days stained glass is also used in homes for decoration and there are many ways to manipulate glass to provide colour, texture and pattern. The panel that you choose to make could be for a location your house and will be suitable to either build into a window or frame as a hanging panel.
There will be an additional cost of £20 for materials payable to the tutor on arrival.
The timings for each day will be as follows:
Day One 10.00am - 5.00pm

I love going to Dillington. Where is there like it? Arriving is like a decompression, a deep breath of pure air. The programmes of courses, concerts and talks are exceptional. The company is delightful; the food and the ambiance add to the pleasure; and all set in a magical landscape which seems to me a secret Somerset paradise. In a world of increasing dislocation, Dillington has a real sense of its place in the world.
