An opportunity to experiment with techniques to create texture and pattern within a watercolour painting by using gesso, collage and simple printing techniques. If you have your own references that you would like to work from and themes to develop please bring them along. Shari will bring some nature inspired references and, of course, we have access to the beautiful grounds at Dillington for inspiration. This course is most suitable to those with some previous watercolour experience.
Shari Hills lives in Cornwall and is known for her imaginative marine and nature inspired paintings. Her work is exhibited in several galleries in Devon and Cornwall and she runs a variety of watercolour classes and workshops.

It is rare to find a venue - and an audience - so thoroughly dedicated to the enjoyment culture and cultivation of the mind as Dillington House and its visitors. As someone who hasn't lived in Britain for the past two decades, Dillington was also a delightful reminder of the beauties of English landscape and rural architecture. It was a pleasure to speak there and I envy those who can visit frequently.
