|Course:||Professional Finishing Touches for Dressmakers|
|Start Date:||21st August 2018|
|Fee:||£54.00 What's included?|
There are many techniques that give a dressmaker the edge to achieve a professional finish. This ensures the garment looks well-constructed and less homemade, resulting in a garment that will be worn, rather than left in a cupboard unfinished. During the day the course will cover general construction techniques, such as understitching, that is used on facings, waistband application, making shirt collars, neatening methods and concealed zip application. All welcome but you will need a reasonable amount of sewing knowledge, including the ability to use your own sewing machine, which you will need to bring with you.

In its commitment to the arts and to broader and even peripheral aspects of culture, Dillington House is a beacon of enlightenment in a world of increasing sameness, mediocrity and uncritical acceptance. And there is much to be said for the home cooking too. I unhesitatingly commend it to all who are still intellectually alert.
