Tutor Information

Having a very fulfilling career in engineering Richard Gibson realised that he would need something to occupy and engage him. He had always admired the simplicity and beauty of Shaker design and found a course on making their iconic oval boxes at the American Museum in Bath some 18 years ago. From that point on he was captivated and has been making traditional boxes in English hardwoods and developing designs based on the same techniques ever since.
