Let classical music fill your ears at Dillington House - a stunning concert venue nestled in the beautiful, yet accessible, South Somerset countryside.
The theatre was created from the old coach house in 1962, before being completely rebuilt in 1993. It has excellent acoustics and sightlines, and is the perfect size for chamber music and other small-scale performances.
Dillington House has been bringing internationally renowned musicians to the West Country since the 1960s. In its earliest days, the theatre played host to performers such as Dame Janet Baker, Peter Pears, Bernard Roberts, Mitsuko Uchida, Jacqueline du Pre, Julian Bream and the Amadeus Quartet.
More recent visitors include The Brodowski String Quartet, Bernard d'Ascoli, The Allegri String Quartet, The Sacconi String Quartet, The Pavao String Quartet, Ian Bostridge, Elizabeth Watts, Jack Liebeck and Charles Owen.
December sees the staging of a very popular festive concert, while every August, Dillington House hosts a classical guitar festival - a series of public concerts devoted to the guitar, and timed to coincide with our popular Guitar Summer School.
